Box-plot of the average delay between the start of each mating trial to first contact, and from first contact to actual mating in unplugged and plugged females. The difference was not significant, neither for the delay until first contact (Wilcoxon rank sums test: n plugggd = 24; n unplugged = 24; Z = -0.57; p = 0.57), not for the time between first contact and mating (Wilcoxon rank sums test: n plugged = 24; n unplugged = 22; Z = 0.51; p = 0.61).
