The false-color representation depicts correlations among 269 COI test sequences (y-axis) and 75 species-level indicator vectors (x-axis). In total, 263 (97.7%) of the test sequences showed highest correlation with their respective species indicator vector; exceptions were mis-assignments of Pterostichus nigrita and Pterostichus rhaeticus, which share predominant identical COI haplotypes.
