M1 height and width. a Height of M1 (red line) was measured with a digital caliper (HM1 ± 0.01 mm) as the distance from the peak of the mesiobuccal cusp to the enamel/cementum line (i.e., the stained part of the crown). b Width of M1 (blue line) was measured with a digital caliper (WM1 ± 0.01 mm) as the buccolingual breadth of the mesial cusp. Both HM1 and WM1 were measured 3 times per each female and mean values were derived (\(\overline{{HM_{1} }}\) and \(\overline{{WM_{1} }}\))
