  1. Survival probability (Φ) was modelled as constant (.), as varying between years (y) or between seasons (s), i.e. during months of terrestrial and aquatic phases of adult newts. In each of this scenarios Φ was also modelled as function of habitat suitability index (HSI). Capture probability (p) was modelled as constant (.). AICc: corrected Akaike’s information criterion; ∆AICc: difference of the AICc value of the current and the best model; w: AICc weight; K: number of parameters.
