Measurement of HDAC activity in G. mellonella hemocytes following the administration of HDAC inhibitors. Hemocytes from injured Galleria larvae were seeded in a 96-well clear-bottom black plate at a density of 3 x 10⁴ per well in Drosophila Schneider’s medium supplemented with 10% FBS. The cells were treated with 10 μl of HDAC inhibitor cocktail (1:1 SAHA (1 mg/ml) and sodium butyrate (20 mg/ml)) and control hemocytes were treated with an equal volume of 1% DMSO (**, p < 0.005).
